THE TEAM & THE ALUMNI

ALUMNI

Our programs have benefited a wide range of individuals, from rookies in their 60s to teenagers transitioning from karts into cars. Both men and women have achieved great results through our training. We’ve coached drivers who have gone on to win in prestigious series like Indy Lights, NASCAR, IMSA Prototypes, and Formula Atlantic, among many others worldwide.

Don’t let age or inexperience hold you back. We believe that just like anything else, practice and personalized coaching are key to success. Contact us to discuss your goals, and we’ll create a customized plan to help you get a jump start and reach them, leveraging our years of experience. Here are just a few of the many drivers we have worked with…

CHRIS CUMMING

Chris came to World Speed and Standing Start with some school racing experience under his belt.

With his hard work, and Standing Start guidance Chris went on to win 3 open wheel championships, podium multiple times in the IMSA Porsche Cup, win in IMSA Prototypes, and compete in the 24 Hours of Daytona and LeMans!

BOBBY EBERLE

Bobby Eberle, a graduate of the Skip Barber Racing School, quickly rose through the ranks on the Road to Indy. With support from World Speed and Standing Start, he won three consecutive national championships on the USF Pro Championships ladder, a crucial step towards Indy Car.

Eberle remarked, “What an unbelievable season I had with World Speed. Just a few years ago, when I first sat in a racing car, I never imagined I’d be competing against some of the best young drivers in the country.”

COURTNEY CRONE

Courtney Crone’s journey to becoming a Haas F1 Academy driver was fueled by Standing Start Driver Development.

Standing Start coached her as she won races in World Speed/VMB FormulaSPEED and FIA F4 cars, culminating in her 2018 Formula Car Challenge presented by Goodyear championship.

This early, tailored development by Standing Start directly propelled her to her current role with Haas in the F1 Academy.

JADEN CONWRIGHT

Standing Start Driver Development coached Jaden Conwright through his early career, helping him become an open-wheel racing champion. Their personalized, one-on-one training then enabled him to seamlessly transition to GT racing.

STING RAY ROBB

Supported by World Speed and Standing Start, Sting Ray dominated the 2016 Formula Car Challenge presented by Goodyear, securing wins in both the FormulaSPEED and Pro Formula Mazda classes. The very next year he finished sixth in the fiercely competitive USF Pro 2000 Championship.

He went on to become the 2020 USF Pro 2000 Champion and then the 2022 Indy NXT Vice-Champion. His talent earned him a coveted spot in IndyCar with AJ Foyt Racing for 2023 and 2024, and he’s continuing his IndyCar journey in 2025 with Juncos Hollinger.

VMB DRIVER DEVELOPMENT

VMB Driver Development’s Standing Start program helps create future champions by focusing on “perfect practice” instead of just driving endless laps.

Every session on the track is carefully planned and then thoroughly reviewed using data and video analysis. This allows coaches to pinpoint exactly where a driver can improve, letting them customize future training drills.
